Jonathan, Integrated Tax Services
What is your role in the Ripple Companies?
Staff Accountant and Tax Preparer
What does a typical day look like for you?
I walk to work every day. It normally takes me around 30 minutes. Once I arrive, I get settled and then check emails and organize my workload a bit and check my calendar. Depending on the day, time of the year, time of the month, etc., I may be working on bookkeeping projects, commercial returns, personal tax returns, estates/trusts, client tax planning meetings, or very occasionally nonprofits.
Mid-morning I’ll heat up a breakfast bagel (but anyone on the 5th floor is probably already aware of that from the scent). I take a late lunch to delay the sleepiness of the after-lunch slump. I end my workday by walking the waterfront on my way home.
What aspect of your work makes you happiest?
Hearing from clients about how I have helped them with their tax concerns and issues. This affirms the work we do is important, and it makes an impact in their lives. I appreciate getting to know clients and building relationships with them.
I have the pleasure of serving on the DEI and the Community Engagement Committee at the Ripple Companies. It’s great to work alongside my teammates to make our company and community a better place.
When are you at your best?
A refill of my coffee cup, a good run, meditation, and a yoga routine in the morning before work helps me be my best self.
Nicole, The Difference
What is your role in the Ripple Companies?
I’m a Personal Stylist and Content Creator at The Difference.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I start my day with a browse through the boutique, checking out what’s new and selecting outfits for my clients. I’ll curate a fitting room full of combinations to help each client look and feel their best. We’ll go through all the looks together to make sure everything is just right. I’ll share loads of ideas on multiple ways to wear every piece. I love creating a unique shopping experience customized to each of my amazing clients! What aspect of your work makes you happiest?
The culture of The Difference makes it a place everyone can thrive! From team members to clients, we’re all here supporting each other. The relationships we build are what makes my job so rewarding. When a client tells me I brightened their day or they felt so confident and comfortable in what I chose for them, that makes my heart full! 💗
When are you at your best?
Outside of work, I’m a total nature enthusiast! I love camping any season – rain, shine, snow – I’m out there living in the moment and enjoying Mother Earth!
Kailee, Johnson Bixby
What is your role at the Ripple Companies?
I am a Client Services team member with Johnson Bixby. I joined the team as an intern and was happy to have been offered a permanent position with the team.
What does a typical day look like for you?
As a new CST member, I am still learning the ropes of the client service world! A typical day for me consists of maintaining client accounts, completing appropriate forms for client requests, and supporting our Planners by helping with meeting preparations.
What aspect of your work makes you the happiest?
I love being part of a supportive team where I feel genuinely valued! The positive energy and universal desire to learn are values I appreciate at Johnson Bixby.
When are you at your best?
I am at my best when there’s positive energy around me! I thrive in an environment that encourages curiosity, learning, and vulnerability.
