On Friday, June 17 nonprofit, Fosterful, hosted their Summer Solstice Soiree event at the new AC Marriott hotel to help raise money for their organization. Fosterful is a local a nonprofit organization that partners with child welfare offices to provide a nurturing environment for children entering foster care. The volunteers at Fosterful keep children occupied and safe while social workers work behind the scenes to arrange for their long-term care.
The Ripple Companies Community Engagement Committee helped determine that Integrated Tax Services would be a sponsor for the event donating $500 to the cause. Megan Dixon (ITS), who was one of the MCs at the event, has been with the organization since early 2018 – first as a consultant supporting strategic growth and now as board president.
“What I appreciate most about Fosterful is the drive to keep mission-focused while also being nimble enough to pivot when the world turns upside down. We know that children entering foster care deserve a caring companion in their darkest hours, and we work hard to meet their needs while also looking at ways to improve the system as a whole. It’s important work.”
Hannah Taylor (Ripple Companies) is also a volunteer for Fosterful. With a background in Family and Human Services, she volunteers on their Event Committee and donated her time as the Event Coordinator for the event.
“Fosterful is an amazing organization. They do really inspiring and important work for children. I absolutely love being a part of their organization. The event was truly a night to remember, and I could not be more grateful to be part of it.”
