As we close out another fantastic summer and prepare for the cozy days of fall, our team has been busy soaking up the sun and chasing adventure! From mountain hikes to urban marathons, international journeys, and epic road trips, we’ve made the most of every sunny moment. Check out these snapshots of our teams’ summer adventures before we trade flip-flops for flannels and dive into the next season of fun!

Jonathan Goes to Kenya & Qatar

Some pictures from Kenya and from Qatar. In Kenya, we spent 6 days on safari and 5 days on the beach. We saw the big 5 among a lot of other animals and had lots of laughs since it was a good friend and I that had the jeep all to ourselves. We went on a traditional dhow (old school Arabian ship) and I went snorkeling and saw a dolphin, a sea turtle, a moray eel, and an octopus amongst others in the coral. We also spent time in Nairobi where we fed giraffes at the giraffe center and ate a lot of interesting meats at the Carnivore restaurant. Since the stopover was in Qatar, I decided to spend a few days there and went “dune bashing” essentially 4 wheeling in the desert dunes. In a James Bond like fashion, the guide found some locals that were stuck on the dune and then drove out to a place where he remembered a rope in the sand and came back and rescued them.

Erika Explores the UK

Southern Wales – Manchester – Glasgow – Scottish Highlands – Edinburgh – London

We started in Wales where I drove on the “wrong side” of everything! Wales is known for its rugged coastline, medieval castles and distinctive Welsh language. The road trip to Stonehenge was a highlight, it was fascinating and surreal to see it up close in person! We then stopped by Manchester; we took the Old Trafford Stadium tour where I got to see my favorite football team’s home base. Next, we got up to Glasgow, Scottish Highlands, and Edinburgh. It was all dreamy and we finally got to pet the highland cows! We ended our trip in London, the city is way bigger than I thought, and we did an average of 17,000 steps a day!

My family and I had an amazing time, and we can’t wait to go on another adventure!

Jim’s Clark County Century Ride

Finishing Ride Around Clark County. Metric century (66 miles) 😝

Ashley’s Move Across the Country

My husband Dan and I moved across the country. The 10-day road trip with 2 dogs and towing a boat was certainly an adventure. Luckily not too many hiccups. Enjoyed driving through states we’ve never been to. We thought the drive from Utah to Colorado was prettiest!

Nick in Norway

Hiking Besseggen Ridge with breathtaking views and fun at Legoland® in Billund, Denmark.

Zach Conquers Hood to Coast, Oregon

Here’s a picture of my first ever Hood To Coast relay team, affectionately called the “Bashing Dasterds”. It took us a little over 33 hours to complete the 195-mile relay, which starts on Mt. Hood and concludes in Seaside with a party on the beach. We had folks from several states and in varying levels of running shape make up our 12-person team. Highlights included copious snacks, no sleep, and a lifetime of memories.

Trisha Hike’s The Enchantments, Washington

After years of failed lottery attempts to win permits, my partner Chris and I finally got to experience our dream of backpacking through the Enchantments, a rugged and beautiful wilderness area  just outside of Leavenworth, WA. During our 5 days and 4 nights we hiked a total of 32 miles with 6,273 ft. of elevation gain.  Experiencing humbling mountain views, challenging trail terrains pushing us to our limits, and a dip in the chilly alpine lakes, it was a trip full of proud moments and memories!

Karen M. Travels to Chile

Gorgeous flamingos reflecting off the water with mountains in the distance, exploring with Dad, and unbeatable views of the Milky Way.

Kristi’s Journeys to Germany

As some of you know, I recently took my mom to Germany (her first trip out of the U.S.) to visit family. Here are a few pics of our travels in the Frankfurt area.

A couple of photos from St. Martin’s Cathedral in Mainz, Germany. That’s my uncle, my aunt and my mom standing behind me inside the cathedral.

It was a great time and the trip of a lifetime for my mom. 😊
