Kirsti, The Difference

What is your role in the Ripple Companies?

I’ve had the pleasure of working at The Difference for almost 23 years now, and my role is Personal Wardrobe Stylist.  

What does a typical day look like for you?

 I’m a mix of left and right brain. I combine creativity and strategy! I have a formula when working with clients and although the specifics change over time and with fashion shifts, generally we work together to reach their individual goals regarding how they want to present themselves to the world. My day is spent prepping, personalizing, and curating items for clients’ appointments. During one-on-one time with clients I provide fashion advice, new ideas and lots of encouragement. My goal is to leave them feeling better about themselves and more confident than when they arrived, by affirming them both inside and out!

 What aspect of your work makes you happiest?

 The opportunity to encourage and engage women. It’s about SO much more than just fashion. 

When are you at your best? 

When I’m able to help women more clearly reflect their unique internal beauty, on the outside! This makes both of us feel like a million bucks. 

Kate McMullen, Integrated Tax Services

What is your role at ITS?

I’ve been on the Client Services team at ITS since January of 2020.

What does a typical day look like for you?

During tax season my focus is on assembling tax returns and helping clients through the process. Now that tax season is over, I’m able to focus more on big picture projects to help move the business forward. I’m currently working with Bob and Micci on researching technology to see if we can create efficiencies. Projects like this excite me.

What aspect of your work makes you happiest?

Big picture projects for sure. They help me learn, grow, and stretch myself more than day to day tax season tasks. I’ve been working with Megan to learn how I can be helpful with month end, tracking down payments from clients, and keeping things moving!

Most importantly, I love, love, love my team. They are all rockstars and the reason I come to work every day. 

When are you at your best?

Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. I am at my best! Well, really any morning at 11:00a.m. 😊

Haley Smart, Johnson Bixby

What is your role in the Ripple Companies?

I’m the Technical Specialist in the Client Services Team at Johnson Bixby. My job is to create efficiencies and organize processes to best suit the needs of the clients, team and company. I am a subject matter expert in the systems we use to service our clients and their investment accounts.

What does a typical day look like for you? My typical day includes a variety of tasks. From processing trades, talking to clients to answer their questions and give support, wading through a long list of workflows, ongoing training to our team on processes and updates of industry standards, as well as helping our new team members integrate into the company. I am committed to take a couple of breaks during the day and get in a short walk for my health and to clear my head. Building connections with my team members is important to me so one way I do that is to say, “good morning” and “good evening” to everyone when they come in the office and when I leave for the day.     

What aspect of your work makes you happiest? Being able to provide support to my team, collaborating with others at JBA and ITS and helping strengthen my team from within by being a consistent role model and teacher to others. I also like sharing a laugh with a team member when our workload is heavy, to give encouragement and make things more light-hearted.   

When are you at your best? When I have the autonomy to see something through from start to finish that sets the firm up for long term success.
