During the pandemic, we saw a two year plus cycle of business openings and closings in the U.S., with record numbers of new business applications. In fact, more than 1.26 million new business applications were filed in the beginning of 2022.

If you’re a new business owner, you probably have enthusiasm to make your dream a reality tempered with equal measures of nervousness over what the future might hold. And you no doubt have questions about how to turn your venture into a consistent paycheck and make your business grow to help build your retirement nest egg.

Good news – we’re here to help guide the way!

Little Hop Brewing

Our next Ripple Event on August 17, Bookkeeping & Brews, follows the journey of Zak and Lisa Cate, home brewers who turned a passion into a business. While Zak loves taking in the aroma of bitter hops added to the mash tun, and the flavor notes of the malts and other unique flavors like honey, he’s burdened by the recording of sales, deposits and expenses, and reconciling his books. We address his questions about when to make purchases, how to code expenses, what is necessary to keep him compliant with his taxes, and more during this lively summer session.

If you’re a small business owner who needs a little help translating the language of balance sheets, income statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and all things accounting, this session will get you oriented.

Join us after work on August 17 at 5:30 p.m., in the Ripple Space. We’ll share our passion for numbers and brews, and yes, that means we’ll have beers and other refreshments on hand!
