Guidance When It Matters Most

For many clients, our relationship begins with annual personal tax preparation. Did you know our team also specializes in estate and trust tax preparation and planning? We have expertise in helping individuals, couples and families navigate the responsibilities that can come with settling an estate or managing a trust.

We help you:

  • Know what filings are required—and when
  • Understand your role and responsibilities as a personal representative or trustee
  • Coordinate with attorneys, financial advisors, or other fiduciaries
  • Have your estate and trust tax returns prepared accurately and on time

If you’re navigating an estate or trust situation, or simply want to be prepared for the future, we’re here to help answer questions and guide you through the process.

Received a Letter from the IRS? Contact Us.

Opening a notice from the IRS can feel overwhelming but, in many cases, it’s simply a request for information, clarification, or action. If you receive any type of IRS notice or letter, reach out to our team. We’re here to help you understand what the notice means, review the details, determine if any action is needed, and guide you through next steps.

Consider Setting Up Your IRS ID.me Account

While we’re here to help answer your tax questions, there are certain account updates that need to be completed directly with the IRS once your return has been filed. That’s where ID.me comes in. ID.me is the secure identity verification platform used by the IRS to help protect your personal information and provide access to your IRS online account. If you’ve already created an ID.me login to access your Social Security account, the same login credentials should work here as well.

Why does this matter? If your tax return has already been completed and e-filed, certain account details (e.g., updating banking information) can only be done through your IRS online account using ID.me rather than through our office.

To learn more or create your account, visit ID.me or access your IRS online account through IRS Online Account.  For assistance with setting up or accessing your account, please contact the IRS directly at 1-800-829-1040, or visit the support resources available on the IRS website.

Own Rental Property in Vancouver? New Annual Registration Requirements Begin in 2026

Do you own rental property in Vancouver city limits? Beginning January 1, 2026, you must annually register each rental unit through the City of Vancouver’s new Rental Registration Program. The annual registration fee is $30 per unit.

As part of the program, property owners are also required to hold a City of Vancouver business license endorsement.

The City offers step-by-step registration instructions and FAQs regarding business license requirements for property owners on their website.

If rental property ownership is part of your broader tax picture, staying current with local requirements can help avoid surprises  and keep your records in good order for year-end planning and reporting.
