Tri-Tip Recipe
1 Beef Tri-Tip Roast
Teriyaki Sauce – Combine and mix below listed ingredients:
1 ½ cup soy sauce
2 Tbs. seasoned rice wine vinegar
1 Tbs. sesame oil or olive oil
2 cloves garlic – minced
2 Tbs. onion – minced
3 Tbs. brown sugar
2 Tbs. molasses
1 ½ tsp. ginger
¼ tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
Instructions: Pour teriyaki sauce into a gallon Zip-lock type bag. Prepare the roast by trimming off the excess fat and sinew. Once prepared, place the roast in the bag containing the teriyaki sauce. Refrigerate for 5-7 days, stirring daily.
Heat barbeque to between 300 to 350 degrees. Barbeque roast until the roast’s center temperature reaches 135 degrees. Remove from the grill and let it rest for at least 5 minutes. Slice roast against the grain to ensure it remains tender.
